CabAdjust is an adjustable-height wall-mounted patient charting station for use in a wide variety health care environments and applications. While patient charting occurs in a wide variety of environments, wall-mounted charting tends to work best where there is either (a) a stable patient populations or (b) charting can be performed without impeding the flow of traffic.

Patient care is physically demanding work. Patient care staff spends as much as 25% of their day charting, creating a lot of physical stress. For night shifts, this can be as much as 75% of their work load. We take some of that stress away by adjusting charting work to the physical needs of the patient care staff instead of them adjusting to their work.

People come in different heights, so our cabinet supports those differences. Fixed-height cabinets typically are installed to a 42” high worksurface for chart entry. Our product has a 6” vertical adjustment range of between 38” – 44” to accommodate about 80% of the population. It takes between 5 – 10 pounds of applied pressure to adjust the cabinet, well within the suggested ergonomic range.

A self-balancing door closes itself when charting work is completed, and there is room behind the keyboard for charting materials. When charting work is done, slide the keyboard back and the door closes itself, or just begin to lift the door, and the keyboard will slide to the back, and the door closes itself.

CabAdjust can support any kind of technology: standard PC’s, notebooks, or tablet PC’s. And while computers occasionally go down, CabAdjust offers easy access for easy re-booting without giving access to the computer area to non_IT personnel.

This is a 4” deep hallway application cabinet, but a 6” deep cabinet is also available with an articulating arm so patient care staff can face the patient while charting.
